Instead of tagging my name everywhere, I started experimenting with this simple little character: Mr. Busy. For years he only existed as sketches in notebooks until 2013, when sculptor Daniel Thomassen (DT Customs) helped bring the character to life as a physical designer toy for ToyCon UK.
Each figure was hand-sculpted, hand-cast in resin and finished entirely by hand. Even the packaging boxes were folded and assembled by us. The release was extremely limited and sold primarily during the ToyCon event.
While cleaning my studio recently, I rediscovered a few remaining pieces from that original run. These are original 2013 figures, not reproductions — a small piece of early Kloes history.
Production numbers:
Green — 20 pieces
Black — 40 pieces
White — 40 pieces
Once these last figures are gone, Mr. Busy returns to being just a forgotten doodle in an old sketchbook and on walls... or will he ?
